If it makes you feel any better my credit card statement for April was nearly tear-worthy as a result of this trip, and we’re doing the race portion of our trip as cheaply as my wife will allow (which is to say that we’re paying for a place a camp as opposed to channeling my inner hobo as I would were I doing this trip solo).

But please hate me, I’ve been trying to get this trip done for 4 years now and I’m pretty sure I’m going to wind up hating myself after it’s over for not having gone sooner.
